Another bittersweet moment.

Homeowners are happy to live with less dust and we as the builder are happy to finish another landmark community. It truly is a happy stage of a new community’s development.

But we have to admit that we’ve had fun getting to know the homeowners of that particular neighborhood. Senior communities are different from your run-of-the-mill developments.

With so many people retired, or living as empty nesters, we usually leave friends behind when we move on to the next build site.

Strawberry Creek in Pleasant Grove, Utah is almost finished.

To begin with, this has been a really fun neighborhood.

If you are new to the area, this stellar neighborhood is just a block or so West from the Pleasant Grove Rodeo Grounds. It was only a few years ago when this beautiful 55+ community was nothing more than a vacant lot.

Not only was it a vacant lot, but it was an old concrete plant, a sore thumb on an otherwise awesome location. When we bought the land, we spent a ton of money to clean up and stabilize the land that had been damaged from decades of concrete waste.

Today, you can drive or walk through there and feel at peace as you enjoy the serene beauty.

Of course, if you prefer, you can just relax in our great room, reading from the clubhouse’s library, or spending an afternoon watching the big game in our theater.

Even if you’re not a big fan of clubhouses, just take a walk around and enjoy the great landscaping or elegant exteriors of these homes. Say hi to any neighbors you pass by.
