Living In The Real World
Too often, we see homes that are designed with the best intentions at heart, but miss the mark by just a little. This is one of the reasons why we limit ourselves to only a select few floor plans in each of our senior communities. If it’s not a great floor plan, we won’t build it.
The Stratford takes everything we’ve learned thus far and adds a few luxuries that we know many of you are going to love. First of all, this is designed to be a double master suit home. While all of our current floor plans offer at least two bedrooms, this one goes a step further. By connecting a bathroom and including another walk-in closet to this enlarged second master bedroom, you now have more options for a comfortable life.
This second master bedroom was inspired by the advent of snore rooms. Across the country, many builders are now including a snore room for noisy sleepers. This is a room where they can sleep in peace, allowing you to do the same, without sacrificing any of the comforts afforded by a full master bedroom. Snoring is only one reason why you might like a second master bedroom. It’s no longer uncommon to find multiple generations under a single roof. Perhaps you have an aging parent or an adult child that needs to stay with you? With our Stratford floor plan, they don’t have to live like a second-class resident anymore.
On that same note, while all of our floor plans are ADA accessible, this one goes a step further. Most people who move into our communities are active adults. Occasionally though, we have those who are dealing with some disability and require a wheelchair. The Stratford is our only model that comes with a full roll in shower as a standard.
While we were at it, we included a few other things you might like:
- The covered front patio, like our Grandview model, is a great place to relax and socialize with your neighbors.
- A warm inviting sunroom is just the place to sit back and enjoy a book, or in this case, set up a home office or art room.
- When you first set foot inside the front door, you’ll notice that this is the only floor plan we have that offers a formal foyer-style entrance. This adds a measure of privacy when visitors come knocking.
