Breaking Ground In South Jordan

 

Over the last couple of months, we’ve been getting a lot of phone calls about our newest 55+ community in South Jordan, Utah.

Yes, we do have a project going in there. No it is not for sale yet, but it will be in the not too distant future.

We’ve just barely started breaking ground there. Perhaps you’ve noticed it as you’ve driven northbound on Bangerter Highway. It’s the newest development about to start south of Salt Lake Community College.

Hearthstone Villas

Timeframe:

There will not be any homes for sale this September. In fact, we’re not sure if we’ll even be selling anything before the end of the year. Currently, we’re waiting to see how long the development phase will take. Nothing is worse than buying a house and not knowing when you can move in.

As far as getting the actual houses constructed, we’re aiming for foundations to start going in around the end of February. Granted, if we can start sooner, we will. That would mean, if things go the way we hope they will, then we should have homes ready to move into by around the fall of next year.

Like I said though, we’ve still got a few months of uncertain scheduling, especially as we go into winter, that may affect some of our plans.

However, as soon as we are ready to open the homes up for sale, we’ll post it here on our website.

What is different about this community?

Is there differences? Yes, there will be.

Every time we start a new community, we have to re-evaluate how we do things. We’re constantly trying to provide the most current amenities, and practices that will give your home and your community the things that you value.

One of the things that we’ll certainly install in this community, is pickleball courts. We’ve built these before in a park that we constructed next to one of our previous subdivisions, the Villas At Pioneer Crossing, in Lehi. We did this as an experiment, and with the popularity of the sport, we’ve decided to include some courts in Hearthstone Villas.

Another thing that we’re considering doing, is installing the infrastructure to accommodate electric vehicle charging in every garage. I don’t think it’ll be a huge surprise to anybody that electric vehicles are slowly working their way into our daily lives. It won’t be many years from now when a good percentage of us will be driving them.

There may be other changes as well. We’re always striving to improve our product and our processes. We know that if you’re searching for a 55 and older community, then you’re not usually interested in a starter home. For that very reason, we don’t build starter homes. We build homes that match your current expectations for what a home should be, with the lifestyle to go with it.
