Open House
This subdivision, The Villas At Legacy Farms, is open for visits. Despite the Covid 19 pandemic, we’re still able to keep our doors open. And since most people are staying home right now, this is a great time for you to come visit.
With between one and seven new visits per week, you aren’t very likely to meet another person besides our friendly sales agent on any given day of the week, Monday through Saturday. Though, if you come on Saturday, there might be a few more people. That is the day most people venture out.
Also, our sales staff in all of our new communities are trying hard to keep the models sanitary for your convenience.
So if you’re wondering if this is a safe time to get out of your house, both for the day, and forever, come visit The Villas At Legacy Farms in Saratoga, where you can experience our latest and greatest decorating from our team of professional designers.
Still Selling
I’ve met a few people who are holding back, banking on the hopes that the housing market in Utah will crash. While it is true, that this Covid 19 is creating financial hardships for many people, not everyone is being effected evenly. Granted, there could be some trickle effect, especially if this becomes a prolonged shutdown, but Utah also has a few other things going for it.
Our economy is one of the most diverse in the United States. Add this to the fact that we also have a great entrepreneurial base, and it might be safe to say that Utah will come out of this recession ahead of the rest of the country, like usual.
Also, Utah still has a shortage of housing. Throughout this last month, I’ve heard story after story of people whose phones are ringing nonstop as they list their houses for sale.
Adding to that is our experience over the last few weeks. While new visitor visits to our communities has gone down, the rate at which we are still selling our homes hasn’t slowed nearly as much. Over the last few weeks, I’m sometimes disheartened by how many new people are visiting our projects, but then I’m pleasantly surprised to find out that they are buying.
It’s like Covid 19 has kept all the looky-loos home, but the people who are sincerely looking to buy a house are still out there shopping.
While its too early to tell what will happen with Utah’s housing market, we’re feeling as if the demand for housing is likely to continue strong. House prices will probably remain flat for some time before they start going up again. I also read an article yesterday stating that mortgage rates were at another all-time low. This also will likely keep the demand for new housing strong.
All in all, the housing market is still moving along. It may even be the lifeline in our economy that keeps enough stability in it until the rest of the country re-opens.
When that happens, it’s anybody’s guess as to how quickly housing will start going up again. If you’ve been waiting for the economy to provide a buyers market, this is likely it.
