What 55+ Active Adult Communities In Utah Go On Trips Together?
Obviously, before you settle on moving to a new senior community, the first thing you should check on how fun it really is.A boring community isn’t likely to go on trips together.
For a new community that is still selling new homes, the easiest way to do see how fun the subdivision is, will be to visit with the on-site sales agent. I know, I know, you’ll visit the sales agent anyways if you go in to check out a new community. Before you tell me that this is ridiculous suggestion, let me explain.
Everybody likes to buy homes from somebody that they trust, and/or feel a connection with. Sales people are often trained to assess your personality from the moment you walk in the door. They then try to mimic it. Creepy, maybe. Certainly not any more so than how the internet tracks and anticipates your every move online.
The difference is, while a computer runs off programming and algorithms, sales people only have personal experience and some training to rely on. This makes them flawed.
Since no sales person is as efficient as a machine, they’re going to be caught in the same trap as you. While you subconsciously want to buy from a sales person that relates well to you, the sales person likewise will subconsciously want to sell to someone like themselves.
What does this mean?
It means that a good majority of the people who inevitably end up buying from one particular agent, well, they’re going to have a common thread to their personality.
When you visit an on-site sales person at a new community, don’t just get bogged down, focusing only on the sticks and bricks of the houses for sale. Get to know the sales person.
If you’re able to catch a glimpse at their true personality, you’ll know if they are a party animal, a crank, a mellow, or something else. Just try not to look too deep into it. If you find out that you really click with them but that they’re totally nuts, you might need to re-evaluate your own personal sanity.
Find the senior communities Utah that are going on vacations together
So you’ve found a community that has a personality that works for you. Great! By this point you’ve likely found out what activities they’re doing and if they like doing trips together. But what if you don’t want to interview each and every sales person from each and every senior community in the state?
Well, maybe we can help narrow your search down just a little.
At Leisure Villas, we have always been scratching our heads, trying to find the next best way to improve lifestyle for the communities we build. This year, we’ve made the leap to try and include community vacations as part of the opportunities available to anyone living in our locations.
Have you ever gone on a cruise with just your own family?
If you have, then you’ve likely been able to experience the fun of making new friends at the dinners, sharing in small talk for a few days. Then when you’re just feeling comfortable around them, and maybe think they could be a good friend, you go home and never see or hear from them again.
Think of how much better this cruise would be if you were with someone you already knew, and would know for some time to come. Image the opportunity of strengthening friendships with your neighbors. Not just by going on a cruise together, but by going on all sorts of trips.
Check out the trips we’re sponsoring here.
For example, this year alone (2016), we’ve put together, at no profit to us, two separate vacations, just for our communities. One is a distant trip, and one is more local. The distant and more pricy trip is a cruise, while the local one is an economically priced bus trip to the Tuacahn Theater near Saint George.
Right now, at least along the Wasatch Front, Leisure Villas is the only company that we know of that is encouraging this type of activity among their communities. We’re inviting all our communities, past and present, to participate. Hopefully it will catch on, as this would be a treasure of an activity for any active adult who want to improve their empty nester years.
Not only are we inviting all our communities, but we’re also inviting all of our potentially interested home-buyers to attend. What better way can you think of to make new friends in your community?
