One of the nice things about building retirement communities for people 55+, is that they have an inspiring sense of patriotism.
This is made abundantly evident at this time of year. Say what you will about fireworks, but when you mention the sacrifices that many of men and women have made for this great country, you can’t help but feel a warm sense of pride.
So this week, Leisure Villas wants to say:
Thank You For Your Service
Not everyone served in the military.
While this is true, it’s impossible to deny the sacrifices made by all. We love our military and we respect the time and lives that were given to ensure the prosperity of this great country. But let’s not forget to give a warm thank you to the families of those soldiers.
It can’t be easy for a wife to stay home and raise a family for months or longer by herself while her husband was deployed.
There are others who have stayed and sacrificed to keep this country strong, while those soldiers were out risking their lives.
Every time we go to war, we do so to preserve freedoms and rights.
Our initial Independence day was fought on our own soil, but every time we step on foreign soil, we are reaffirming our commitment to those basic human rights that should be afforded to all peoples.
Try to forget some of the rhetoric.
Every year, it seems like the country gets more divided. Politics can be a real drag on our patriotic moral. Sometimes it’s nice to take a few steps back and remember that while we criticize and poke fun, our country is arguably the best this world has seen thus far.
We are proud to be an American company. We love what this country stands for. While we all may have different political opinions, we all hold a few special core beliefs. Sometimes the strategies to attain those beliefs vary from party to party, but for the most part, we want the same things.
So, at least for a few days, it’s nice to all come together and celebrate those principles, peoples, and sacrifices that make (not just made) our nation the world beacon that it is.
Don’t forget to put your hand to your heart.
This year, as we reflect upon our country, we honor those who came before us. We honor freedoms that we have. Let us never forget what a blessing it is to live in this great country.
However you choose to celebrate your Fourth of July, we just want to say thank you. Even if you didn’t serve to support our military, we thank you for your moral support. We live in a wonderful country, with wonderful and diversified people.
We all have family and friends who’ve done their part to make this country what it is today. As we go forward, we are optimistic about the future. We can all do our very best in our own ways to preserve and advance the cause of freedom.
