Have you taken a trip to Vineyard lately? Just west of Orem is a little pocket of paradise. Now that Geneva is history, this small time town is turning into a metropolitan go to destination. Over the last few years, this area has seen some major changes, and as the commercial side of this new development gets started, you’re undoubtedly going to hear more about this waking giant.
Do you see the home you want below? Planning your perfect retirement starts with planning your perfect home.
If you want to move somewhere in Utah County, you’ve noticed that there’s not a lot of vacant land for new homes between Lehi and Provo. The shining exception to this is Vineyard. If you haven’t heard of Vineyard before, don’t worry, you’re not alone. Even Google still has a hard time finding these new addresses. Vineyard is the growing town that you see between the freeway, around Orem, and the shore of Utah Lake. Many people know it as the place where the new Megaplex theater just moved in to a couple years ago. For the rest of us, it’s where Geneva Steel used to stand.
If you take the 800 N. Orem exit and drive west, towards the lake, you’ll see just how much this area has changed. At the end of the road, you’ll turn left and enter the Waters Edge Community. With gorgeous landscaping and mature trees lining the roads, you’ll feel like you’re driving down a private community lane. To find our 55+ community within this larger Waters Edge neighborhood, continue south for one block, turn right and drive a couple more blocks, and you’re here.
Aside from looking beautiful, we expect this are to fill with some great shopping and entertainment. Our Villas here, is only a block or two away from Utah Lake. If you were to take a leisurely walk over there, it wouldn’t be entirely uncommon to find several people out fishing along the shoreline. If you enjoy the sport, there’s no better place to live. And while nothing new has happened yet, concepts and plans have been postulated, suggesting impressive lake shore developments more commonly found on the coast, including a pier, private Marina, amphitheater, and beachfront retail. While this is all still in the concept phase, it does offer some interesting ideas for future fun. Until then, you can still enjoy the walking trail and shoreline access that are currently provided.
