If you’re following our Tooele community, and wondering when we’ll be up and running there, rest assured, we’re moving as quickly as we can.
Originally, we were hoping to pull permits last week, and to start writing contracts as well. Unfortunately, there was one last thing to finish with the city before we were able to move forward.
That item is underway right now, and we are staffing the sales office to answer questions and help get people started, but until the city gives us the green light, we are holding for a little longer.
55+ In Tooele
Sales office
The sales office is currently located at 960 N. 200 E. You might not find this address on Google yet, but if you get on 1000 N. and head to about 200 east, you should be able to find it pretty easy, as that’s the entrance to our subdivision.
Pricing is still being hashed out. We should have the final numbers ready as soon as we’re able to sign actual contracts. Already, we have several people who are interested and have placed reservations on homes in this community.
If you’re wondering what order we’ll be building in, we’ll be starting with our model homes, then we’ll work our way in and around the west side of the subdivision. We’ll also be submitting our clubhouse plans to the city soon. Since this is technically a commercial building, it sometimes takes a little longer to get approved and built, but we have the plans nearly completed and ready for submittal.
What is it like to live in a senior community?
In Tooele, there aren’t a lot of active adult communities yet. We’ve been building them for about two decades east of Oquirrh Mountain, but this is our first time in Tooele. Many people in Salt Lake and Utah counties are starting to see the benefit of living in these dedicated communities for retirees, but in Tooele, you might still be wondering if this is the right sort of community for you.
Here’s the facts, most people who move into a 55+ community are still active and strong. Many of you might not realize it, but we don’t build communities for people who need assistance living. Many of our homeowners are in fact, still working, though for many of them, if retirement hasn’t already come, then they are looking forward to it on the horizon.
This is a place to spend more time doing the things you love. Often, when people think about senior living, they think of nursing homes, or assisted living facilities. 55+ communities are neither of those things.
These are regular houses for adults who just want to be around others like themselves. And when I say regular houses, I really mean, better houses. They are built for retirees. Lets face it, you might be active now, but there are some luxuries that you didn’t know you’d like till now. For example, younger kids these days are moving into these townhomes that have three to four flights of stairs in their homes. Our homes, while technically considered a townhome, are all main floor living, with the majority of the homes having no stairs at all, at least, not unless you want them.
These communities are based on lifestyle. You come and live comfortably around friends you like, and neighbors you can relate more to. These communities are fun. You’ll love buying your next home in a Leisure Villas community. We look forward to meeting you.
