In our past few articles, we’ve gone through most of the major parts of the typical Leisure Villas Clubhouse.
But there is more.
Isn’t that much enough already?
Yes, but as long as we can, why not make a great clubhouse into a spectacular one?
Clubhouse Tour Part 7
The Patio
What’s so great about a patio? We already have a pool. Isn’t it assumed that there will be a concrete slab around that?
Well, yes, but if all you want is the minimum required slab of concrete, go look for another subdivision. Our patios are often overlooked, but you’ll find them to be more than a pool skirt.
Not everyone likes swimming pools. Some can’t swim, some just think that they should never be seen in a swimming suit. Whatever your reason, you might still have visiting family that wants a dip. So what about you? You’ll need to be out there with them.
Just because you have to be there with them, doesn’t mean that you have to get wet.
Aside from having several sunning chairs to soak up the rays, our patio extends out to accommodate picnic tables and benches.
There’s even a gas BBQ grill, hooked directly up to the building’s natural gas line. You can come enjoy hamburger and hotdogs at your leisure, assuming you provide the food, and assuming you like hamburgers and hotdogs.
Maybe while your friend is grilling a dog, you can slap a savory marinated stake on the grill and watch them drool. If that’s your aim, play around with them—try grilling a big slab of tofu the next day and tell them it tastes just like chicken.
The Pool Table?
By pool table, I’m not talking about the tables out by the pool, though you might enjoy those a lot. We actually do put a real pool table, as in billiards, into the clubhouse.
If you just have a few minutes to spend with the grandkids and they’re tired of pretending to enjoy your stamp collection, take them over to the pool table and show them the grandpa hustle.
After you’ve won their milk money, grab a few of your neighbors and put together a real tournament. Maybe try collecting another dollar from them as well.
The pool table can provide a quick distraction or hours of engaging entertainment.
Something for everybody
There’s so much to do here. All you need is a little desire and you can have a lot of fun with great new friends. I’ve seen it all. From service projects to quilting. 5000 piece puzzles to card games. Book clubs, to ball games. Whatever your fancy, this is a great place to come together.
Having the kids move out is hardly an end. It’s just the beginning. You’ve gotten the hard part out of the way. Now it’s time to play. Come spend some time in one of our new clubhouses. Meet some new people. See why so many empty nesters are discovering the perfect 55+ communities for them are the ones built by Leisure Villas.
