This isn’t one of the topics we often talk about here. Leisure Villas is in the business of selling quality homes to folks who are 55 and older. But with home prices in Utah continually climbing, we often get asked if we do any rentals.
Well, we don’t, but our sister company does. If you are in Utah County, and are looking for senior apartments, you owe it to yourself to stop by Pleasant Grove. Over there, you’ll find the cities biggest and best community for active adults who prefer to rent.
The place is called Grovecrest Villas.
Adding On To GroveCrest Villas
Where?
The community is easy enough to find. If you’re driving along center street in Pleasant Grove, around 500 West, you can’t miss it. Grovecrest Villas, finished over a year ago, and has been extremely popular since.
In fact, they tend to remain sold out most of the time. They’ve developed quite the livelihood there also. With lots of activities and new friendships being made every week, this is the place to be.
Because of its success, they are now adding another building to their fold. Just south of their parking lot, along Center Street, is Grovecrest Center. This three-story building will hold another 16 apartments on the top two floors, along with 20 office suites on the bottom floor.
When will these be available?
These new apartments and office suites will soon be available. Our goal, is to have them ready sometime in August of 2019, though there are still a number of little things that could delay that.
Regardless, if you have been wanting a fun place to call home, with people your same age, stop by the main office of Grovecrest Villas today, to get more information. Once these are available for lease, they will go quickly.
You can also call for more information, at 801-443-2700.
Do you have any apartments in Salt Lake County?
At this time, we do not have any in Salt Lake County, though we are always keeping an eye out for a location that is ideally suited for one of these 55+ apartment communities. We’ve chased quite a few leads on ground, but as you may already know, the price of land is prohibitive.
There’s a lot of builders out there, and there’s a lot of building happening, but margins on apartments can often be tight, and if/when we begin a new community, we want to ensure that it can be a sustainable community, one which adds value to its future residents and to its neighbors.
As Utah’s population grows, we have to continually grow to meet the housing needs of those who want to live here. Over the next few decades, experts expect Utah’s population to double in size. Currently, there are not enough homes being built to satisfy that sort of expansion.
So yes, while we prefer to build the great rambler styled communities that our homebuyers have come to love, we also foresee the need for more housing, especially in the 55 and older markets. Because of this, we will continue to grow and look for opportunities to provide housing, both rental and for purchase in the coming years.
